Was so excited to see this app offered up for free! Jumped right into playing with it, using the most mundane thing I could find : the onion on the plate with my husband’s hamburger.
I know, blah, right?
So, I open up the Moku Hanga app and it immediately tweaks it into this:
Wow, I think. This is a really cool app. Then I notice the added effect icons below the image. What? More fun? I click on “Style” and flip through the numerous options and settle on the “nature” in the “multi-color” option.
Ooooo la la! But why stop here? I’m still finding out just how much this app will do. Let’s try the “adjust” option. I click on “outline” and from the options therein, I try the “Black Boost” ~
Wow, this is an onion? There’s a “Paper” effect to click on, so I do. There’s a plethora of paper textures to choose from, along with a tint option. There unnamed, so can’t say which I actually used, but I sure liked the result. ~
There are various edges that can be applied and saturation, image strength and image colors can also be tweaked, but I’m going stop here. Am sure loving this app!
I have been doing a lot with the numerous photo editing apps I have downloaded and thought, hmm.. perhaps step by step blogging would be fun. It would also assist me, should I want to duplicate any effects on another image, so here goes.
This is the original:
This is using the MoreMono app:
Then I used ScratchCam:
Then I used WowFX for the fake barbed wire and fire:
and I think I’ll leave this one here.

This is Walter. Walter is my granddog. He was trying to lick my nose when I took his picture. Walter is a very lickable fella.
Trying out the HDR FX Pro app.
Shot through my windshield at Chapel Hill Mall, Akron.
Walking around Summit ArtSpace, waiting for an art reviewer to show up, iPod in hand, I sought images. These drinking fountains, outside the restrooms on the 2nd floor, just caught my eye in their simplicity. I tweaked a tad with Snapseed’s “Drama” filter -

This weekend is the Akron Arts Prize opening, with artwork all over in various buildings. This piece is in Summit ArtSpace on the 3rd floor..just outside the BOX Gallery. It is by Ron White and I took iPod liberties with it. Taken with the Snapseed app, I then applied “Drama” and then “Grunge” -
